The Adult Services Department is responsible for the provision of reference and readers' advisory services; the selection of all materials for the Adult Collection; the coordination of computer services including word processing, Internet service, and selected databases; the selection of books, audio visual materials and other resources, outreach services including service to the homebound and both black and white and color photocopiers Our collections include books, large print books, newspapers, magazines, DVDs, CDs, audio books on compact disc, and online databases. The department’s two primary services are reference and readers’ advisory.
IBM compatible computers with software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint are available for use in the library is available in the Adult Services Departments. Printers are available that print both black and white and color pages. Black and white prints are 10 cents per page and color copies are 50 cents per page. There are three payment stations--in Children's Services, in the Info-Commons computer area, and in the Media computer area where one may set up an account to pay printing fees.
